The Byford Rail Extension Project will extend the Armadale Line approximately eight kilometres south to a new station in Byford. The new station will be built within the existing rail corridor, south of Evans Ways and 400 metres north of Abernethy Road. Level crossings at Armadale Road, Forrest Road and Church Avenue in Armadale will be removed and replaced with elevated rail, including a new, elevated station at Armadale. Other level crossings between Armadale and Byford will also be addressed.

A Community Reference Groups (CRG) is being established to cover the Armadale project area from Friar Road north of Armadale Station, to Eleventh Road.

Residents, businesses and community groups in the areas surrounding Armadale are encouraged to apply.

Successful CRG members will be considered for the relevant CRG group based on criteria in the Terms of Reference, including their location.

Please refer to map below.

The purpose of this group is to act as a sounding board during the detailed design and construction phases of the project. The group will be encouraged to provide feedback and collect community enquiries for discussion in the meetings to identify issues.
