Byford Rail Extension Community Survey
The design phase is now underway with a preferred option selected to extend the electrified rail network within the existing rail corridor around 8 kilometres from Armadale Station, into a newly built Byford Station, approximately 400 metres north of Abernethy Road, Byford.
To improve safety and connections in the area, and improve traffic flow, Thomas Road level crossing will also be reconfigured to a road-over-rail bridge. Options are still being considered for the other existing level crossings.
As the project moves into the concept design phase, residents, workers and land owners in Armadale and Byford areas are invited to share their thoughts on key elements of the design.
Business owners in the Byford area are invited to also complete the Byford Local Business Survey.
