This stage will further investigate issues that were not closed during Stage 2, and activities such as corridor protection, developing detailed designs and commencement of environmental monitoring in Cockburn Sound to start building resilience.
The Westport process will continue to be consultative, supported by a strong governance framework and based on reliable, well-researched information and realistic forecasting data.
2021-2024 Stage 3
this is an upcoming stage for Document Library
During this stage, Westport will be continuing activities such as corridor protection; environmental studies in preparation for project referral to the Environmental Protection Authority and to develop resilience building initiatives in Cockburn Sound; assessing the commercial implications of transition options; preparation of a business case; and targeted engagement with key stakeholders and interest groups.
