The Morley-Ellenbrook Line is a new 21km rail line that will travel from Ellenbrook’s growing town centre, down the western side of Drumpellier Drive (formerly New Lord Street), through land north of Marshall Road and down the middle of Tonkin Highway, connecting at Bayswater Station on the Midland Line.
The Morley-Ellenbrook Line Community Reference Groups (CRGs) will consist of local residents and businesses to help the project team through identification of local opportunities, issues and concerns.
The role of the CRGs is to act as a sounding board regarding the delivery and impacts of the project throughout the construction phase. The CRGs will be encouraged to bring feedback or collect community enquiries for discussion in the meetings to identify any issues.
Due to the large geographic area covered by the project, three CRGs will be established based on location. Applicants will need to be either a resident or business owner within the relevant area to be eligible for membership to the CRG. Applicants will only be able to nominate for one CRG on the project.
The groups are:
Ellenbrook: Between Ellenbrook Station and Gnangara Road
Whiteman Park: Between Gnangara Road, Drumpellier Drive and Beechboro Road N
Tonkin Highway: Malaga, Morley and Noranda
As there is already an established Community Advisory Group for the new Bayswater Station project, we are also seeking nominations for two new members that live or business in Bayswater, between Bayswater Station and Tonkin Highway.
Residents and local businesses within the project area are encouraged to apply by 11.59pm Sunday, 05 July.

The route and station locations for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line are now confirmed. The new 21km rail line will travel from Ellenbrook’s growing town centre, down the western side of New Lord Street, through land north of Marshall Road and finally down the middle of Tonkin Highway, connecting at Bayswater Station on the Midland Line. Stations will be built at Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Malaga, Noranda and Morley with a planned station at Bennett Springs East, to be developed when planning for the area is finalised.
Scoping and design work on the project is now underway and before this is finalised, we’d like to hear your thoughts, not only on the new train line, but also about your local community. What do you love about it and why do you choose to live there? How will you use the line? And what would you like the station and the precinct around it to look like?
To ensure each station, including the immediate area around them, meets the community’s needs as much as possible, we are seeking your input on a range of items for consideration. Feedback on your local community will feed into the design brief for each precinct, while your thoughts on the project will help guide our communications.
