What is this for?
Our newest ferry is nearing completion and needs a name before it can start operating between South Perth and Elizabeth Quay. The ferry will be the third in the Transperth fleet alongside the MV Shelley Taylor-Smith and the MV Phillip Pendal.
What name can I submit?
Anything you want, provided it's not offensive. It can have ties to a specific WA person, animal or object, or something more personal with a touching backstory. You are also welcome to include an explanation about why you chose the name. But please, no Boaty McBoatface or Ferry McFerryface.
When and where can I submit my name suggestion?
Submissions are open until 5pm Thursday 31 October. Submissions can be made through the My Say Transport survey, our website and Facebook page, by calling the InfoLine on 13 62 13, in person at any InfoCentre or at the Elizabeth Quay Ferry Kiosk.
What will happen after I submit my entry?
A committee will work through the entries and create a shortlist of names. The chosen name will then be announced.
