Procurement is currently underway to secure contractors to deliver the Tonkin Highway Extension from Thomas Road to South Western Highway, and Thomas Road Upgrade from Kargotich Road to Alexander Road.

The projects are being delivered together due to the timing of development and delivery, overlap of stakeholders and geographical location.

An online survey was run in August and September 2023 to provide an opportunity for people to view concept designs for both projects and have their say.

Now that the projects have moved into delivery, another online survey was run in May and June 2024 to seek feedback from the community on topics of importance during construction.
