As part of Main Roads ongoing commitment to enhancing community engagement and refining our processes, we are excited to share with you the draft of our updated Crossover Policy (formerly the Driveway Policy).
The aim of this policy is to establish clear guidelines and procedures for assessing crossovers across the state. We have carefully reviewed the existing policy and have incorporated significant updates, including simplified language to ensure broader community understanding.
Key Highlights of the Draft Policy:
Simplified language for general community use.
Tiered approach to the process for assessing crossovers.
Clearly defined levels of development outlining each appropriate assessment process.
Consultation Period:
We invite your feedback and comments on the draft policy within 6 weeks, with responses due back by 26 April 2024.
We encourage you to thoroughly review the draft policy and provide feedback on any section that you believe require clarification or improvement. Your insights will play a crucial role in refining the policy to better serve our community and stakeholders.
