Congdon Street Bridge Replacement

The time has almost come to replace the ageing Congdon Street Bridge. Near Swanbourne Train Station, the timber bridge currently provides a key community link for more than 3000 vehicles per day.

Replacing the bridge also offers the community an opportunity to improve cycle and pedestrian paths and connectivity with local hubs.

To support the Congdon Street Bridge Replacement project, we will be developing an Urban Landscaping Design Framework with the Towns of Claremont and Cottesloe. This will ensure that the bridge replacement project complements the existing Swanbourne village.

Members of the local business and residential community are invited to nominate for the Congdon Street Bridge Community Liaison Group to provide feedback into this framework.

Funding for construction is not currently available however, we aim to complete all development work to ensure we are prepared if/when funding becomes available.
