The Draft Fremantle Harbours Master Plan proposes significant transport and access improvements, upgrades to public spaces with opportunities for community enjoyment throughout the year and an exciting re-connection of the City to the water.

While the iconic WA destination will continue as a true working harbour, the draft Master Plan proposes to revitalise the harbour precinct creating new ways for the community and tourists experience the waterfront providing a new chapter in its rich history and critical growth and employment opportunities.

The draft Master Plan addresses growing pressures within the harbour and will guide and balance development for the next 40 years.

Thank you for taking the time to do this survey.

We hope you have had a chance to review the Draft Fremantle Harbours Master Plan before responding, as there is significant detail within the documents about all the improvements being proposed and why they have been suggested. This includes information about many of the ideas – much of which is the result of feedback from you, the community, over many years.

The draft Master Plan identifies potential redevelopment opportunities, improved maritime infrastructure and more diverse land uses, whilst maintaining a true working boat harbour. To ensure this we will continue to meet with a number of stakeholders to make sure the operational requirements of the harbour will be maintained into the future.

Your feedback on key elements of the draft Master Plan will help guide the finalisation of the vision to transform the Fremantle waterfront. Any responses provided will be considered in conjunction with feedback through other engagement tools to make sure we have considered all aspects of the plan, including long term strategic planning outcomes for Fremantle.

A summary of engagement outcomes will be provided at the end of the engagement period.
