Name our new ferry

Name our ferry

It will soon be anchors away for our newest ferry, and West Australians are invited to get on board and give it an oar-some name.

Submissions are now open to name the new $2.6 million ferry, which will be the third in the Transperth fleet alongside the MV Shelley Taylor-Smith and the MV Phillip Pendal.

In bad news for those that are cray-sea for Boaty McBoatface or Ferry McFerryface, the name should be above board, with submitters encouraged to explain the reasoning behind their choice.

We will be accepting submissions until 5pm on Thursday 31 October.

Submissions can be made through the My Say Transport survey, our website and Facebook page, by calling the InfoLine on 13 62 13, in-person at any InfoCentre or at the Elizabeth Quay Ferry Kiosk.
