The Department of Transport (DoT) administers the Regional Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) Taxi Service Grant (the Grant). The Grant aims to support WAV taxi services in regional WA by contributing towards the cost of:

  • purchasing or replacing WAV taxis; and/or
  • establishing WAV taxi services in towns where none exist.

The next round of the Grant will be delivered in the Great Southern and Goldfields-Esperance regions throughout February and March 2024.

To help inform this round, we’re keen to understand the experiences of people who use wheelchairs when they are travelling to and moving around these regions.
