The Department of Transport is administering the Regional Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) Taxi Service Grant (the Grant). These grants aim to contribute towards the cost of purchasing or replacing WAV taxis, and/or establishing WAV taxi services in towns where none exist.

The fourth round of the Grant scheme will be delivered in Collie, to support existing operators to provide WAV services in the area.

To inform this Grant round, we are conducting consultation to help us understand the experiences of people who use wheelchairs when they are traveling to and moving around Collie.

The Department of Transport will be visiting Collie in February 2023. You’re invited to attend:

  • a public meeting in Collie with representatives from DoT on Wednesday 22 February 2023; and/or
  • organise a one-to-one meeting with representatives from DoT on Wednesday 22 February 2023.
