The Department of Transport is administering the Regional Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) Taxi Service Grant (the Grant). These grants aim to contribute towards the cost of purchasing or replacing WAV taxis, and/or establishing WAV taxi services in towns where none exist.

The next round of the Grant scheme will be delivered in Kalgoorlie. Demand for wheelchair accessible taxi services continues to increase in this area, exceeding the level of supply established WAV taxis can provide

To inform this Grant round, we are conducting consultation to help us understand the experiences of people who use wheelchairs when they are traveling to and moving around Kalgoorlie.
